Price of UK Metal Tray Cable Trays

Metallic cable trays in the UK typically range from £10 to £50 per meter, depending on material, type, and finish.

Price Overview

Steel Cable Trays: Standard electro-galvanized or mild steel trays generally cost £10–£25 per meter. These are suitable for most indoor commercial and industrial applications and provide good durability and load support. Stainless Steel Cable Trays: High-quality 304 or 316 stainless steel trays, offering excellent corrosion resistance, are more expensive, typically £25–£50 per meter, depending on thickness and finish.

Hot-

Dip Galvanized Steel Trays: Designed for outdoor or harsh environments, these trays usually fall in the £20–£40 per meter range due to the additional protective coating.

Factors Affecting Price

Tray Type: Ladder trays, wire mesh trays, and basket trays vary in cost. Ladder trays are often slightly more expensive due to their structural design, while wire mesh trays are lighter and may be cheaper. Size and Load Capacity: Wider trays or heavy-duty trays designed to carry more cables cost more.

Typical widths range from 50mm to 600mm, with lengths of 1m or 3m. Accessories: Bends, couplers, brackets, and risers add to the overall cost of a complete installation. Delivery and Supplier: Prices may vary depending on supplier, order quantity, and delivery options.

Some suppliers offer free delivery for orders over £100.

Summary

For budgeting purposes, expect to pay around £10–£50 per meter for metallic cable trays in the UK, with stainless steel and hot-dip galvanized options at the higher end. Additional components and installation accessories should also be considered when estimating total project costs.
