Step Installation1.

Prepare the Cable Trays

Align the two cable tray sections end-to-end, ensuring they are straight and level. Use a laser level or visual inspection to confirm alignment before fastening. If the trays are cut, attach edge protection strips to prevent cable damage at cut edges.

Position the Steel Joint Plate

Place the joint plate centrally over the joint area where the two trays meet. Ensure the plate sits flat against the tray surfaces to avoid gaps that could trap cables. 3.

Fasten the Joint Plate

Use FR

S M6 truss-head bolts and combination nuts to secure the plate. Insert the bolts from the inner side of the tray rail and tighten the nuts on the outer side to prevent screws from contacting cables. Do not over-tighten bolts; allow slight movement for final alignment adjustments.

Check Alignment and Smoothness

Ensure the tray interior is smooth and free of bumps or gaps that could obstruct cable installation. Verify that the trays remain straight and level after tightening the joint plate. 5.

Optional Steps

For trays up to 300 mm wide, mounting the joint plate may be optional, depending on load requirements. Use additional fittings (e.g., angle connectors or T-shaped fittings) for corners or vertical transitions, ensuring the joint plate is compatible with these connectors. 6.

Safety Considerations

Always follow electrical safety standards and wear appropriate protective equipment. Ensure screws do not damage cables by passing them through the rail from the inner side. Verify that the system can support the intended cable load and environmental conditions.

By following these steps, the steel joint plate will securely connect the cable tray sections, maintain alignment, and protect cables from damage during installation and operation.
