Introduction to GCS Distribution Box

The GCS Distribution Box is a low-voltage, withdrawable switchgear system designed for safe, reliable, and flexible power distribution in industrial, commercial, and high-rise building applications.

Overview

The GC

S Distribution Box is a modular low-voltage switchgear assembly used for three-phase AC systems with rated voltages of 380V/400V or 660V and rated currents up to 4000A. It is widely applied in power plants, petrochemical facilities, metallurgy, textiles, telecommunications, and high-rise buildings, particularly in systems requiring high automation and computer interfaces. The device supports power distribution, centralized motor control, and reactive power compensation.

Design and Structure

Modular Functional Chambers: The switchgear is divided into independent chambers for functional units, busbars, and cables, preventing cross-interference and enhancing reliability. Drawer Units: Standardized drawer units are available in 1/2, 1, 2, or 3-unit sizes, with interchangeable components for easy maintenance. Each drawer has a four-position mechanical interlock: open, close, test, and withdraw, ensuring safe operation.

Busbar Layout: Horizontally arranged busbars provide high dynamic and thermal stability, capable of withstanding short-circuit currents up to 80/176kA.

High-

Density MC

C: Motor Control Centers (MCC) can accommodate up to 22 circuits per cabinet, meeting automation demands in large-scale power systems. Cable Management: Dedicated compartments for top or bottom cable entry, with current transformers installed for easy maintenance.

Technical Features

Compliance: Meets international and domestic standards such as IEC 60439, IEC 61439, GB 7251, and GB7251. 1. Thermal Performance: Enhanced thermal capacity reduces temperature rise in connectors, terminals, and partitions.

Isolation and Safety: Clear separation between functional units prevents fault propagation, containing failures within minimal areas. Environmental Conditions: Designed for indoor use at altitudes below 2000m, ambient temperatures between -5°C and +40°C, and relative humidity up to 50% at 40°C.

Applications

The GC

S Distribution Box is ideal for industrial power distribution systems requiring high reliability and automation, including: Large power plants and substationsPetrochemical and chemical industriesMetallurgical and textile industriesTelecommunications systemsHigh-rise commercial and residential buildings Its modular design, safety features, and flexible drawer units make it suitable for centralized control, reactive power compensation, and efficient electrical management in complex low-voltage networks.

Summary

The GC

S Distribution Box combines modular design, high safety, thermal stability, and flexible operation to provide a reliable solution for low-voltage power distribution. Its standardized drawer units, isolated functional chambers, and robust busbar layout ensure operational safety, ease of maintenance, and adaptability to high-automation environments.
